At last! The strategy
they never wanted me to expose!
What you are about to discover WILL change
your life!
Either you will have learnt and
be able to exploit a persuasion secret that very few people in
the world know about. Or you will train others in this
strategy’s use, and within hours have changed their fortunes
and your own.
The rule of Role
Projection
Are you an individual who makes
their own decisions or are you the product of hundreds of roles
other people have wanted you to play?
Consider this. Ever been told you
look good in a particular suit? You look great with your hair a
certain way? You have an eye for detail?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of
these questions, the chances are that you were more inclined to
wear that suit, have your hair that way or concentrate on the
details. Why? Because you know these are the qualities others
have liked and praised you for. It’s instinctive for us to seek
praise, to like being thanked and get pleasure from making
others happy. But effectively these qualities have been
projected onto you!
Now I wondered whether it was
possible to give - or project - a set of characteristics and
traits onto someone in the business world, for them to play
out, even though they may never have had them.
I
have proven time and again that YES you can project a set of
characteristics onto someone. Here’s
how....
But do they mean
it
Imagine you are out on a
first date. Your date whispers “Can I tell you something? I
love that you are such a great listener.”
Subconsciously or not, they have
praised your ability to listen, confirmed it as being a good
thing and then projected that role onto you ready for your next
date.
The fact is, you might be the
world’s worst listener! But your date has now ensured you
listen more than anything else.
But why? Firstly, you will be
desperate not to offend them and prove their previous judgement
wrong. And secondly, you will want to hear their praise again
for having this vital skill.
The very act of telling
someone they are good at something, and praising them for it,
will cause them to want to play out these
characteristics.
Now,
how does the rule of Projection work at the sharp
end?
Can it really be that
easy to influence someone intelligent, in a position of power
or responsibility, to play out a role given to them by
you?
Put simply: YES! Let me give you
a couple of examples but first a reminder of the
strategy:
*Praise someone for their time,
effort or appearance
*Give them - or project onto them
- a set of characterises and traits you do or don’t want them
to play out for you
*Praise them again
A
strategy for success in four words: Praise - Role Projection -
Praise
“Do you make the ultimate
decision James? Great, because there is nothing worse than
getting to the end of a meeting and hearing that what I’ve
proposed needs to be run past X,Y and Z. It’s so good to be sat
in front of someone who can actually make a decision.” [This
strategy literally praises the customer for making a decision
and giving them the power to do so because you have expressed
your annoyance at those who hide behind others. Note: Praise –
Role Projection – Praise]
“Thank you
James for taken the time to see me today. You’d be amazed
how many MD’s either don’t show up, only give me 10
minutes or worse still pass me over to someone else which
is so frustrating, so thank you.” [This strategy will
guarantee you are given the time you require and you
present to the decision maker because they now know you
view the others and what you will think about them.
Remember: Praise – Role Projection –
Praise]
Simple, powerful and
proven
This is possibly the most effective sales
strategy you might ever learn. Use at the very next
opportunity and experience how easy it is to get people to
play the roles that YOU are projecting onto
them.
